The Lyman Greyhounds are taking a road trip to challenge the Orangewood Christian Rams at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Lyman will be strutting in after a win while Orangewood Christian will be coming in after a defeat.
Lyman is headed in fresh off scoring the most runs they have all season. Everything went their way against Pine Ridge on Monday as they made off with a 20-5 victory. The team's explosion at the plate also rewarded the Greyhounds with their most commanding win of the season.

Jade Perez was a major factor while hitting and pitching. She looked comfortable on the mound, pitching two innings while giving up no earned runs or hits. What's more, she posted four strikeouts, the most she's had since back in March. She was also big at the plate, getting on base in all four of her plate appearances with one triple and one run.
In other batting news, Lyman got a massive performance out of Kaydence Riley, who got on base in all four of her plate appearances with one home run, five stolen bases, and four runs. What's more, Riley posted three RBI, the most she's had since back in April of 2024. Sadie Jacobs was another key player, getting on base in three of her four plate appearances with two stolen bases, three runs, and three RBI.
Lyman always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .743. That's the best OBP they've posted all season.
Meanwhile, after soaring to 11 runs the game before, Orangewood Christian was a bit more limited in their matchup last Monday. They lost 15-0 to Geneva. While getting shut out isn't ideal, the Rams haven't been shut out since back in March.
The win made it two in a row for Lyman and bumps their season record up to 6-17. The victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered a grand total of 7 runs in those games. As for Orangewood Christian, their loss dropped their record down to 8-7-1.
The pitchers for both teams better look sharp on Tuesday as neither team is afraid to steal. Lyman has been swiping bases left and right this season, having averaged 4.2 stolen bases per game. However, it's not like Orangewood Christian struggles in that department as they've been averaging an even more impressive 4.1 stolen bases. The only question left is which team can snag more.
