Basketball Game Preview: Brecksville-Broadview Heights Bees vs. Twinsburg Tigers

Brecksville-Broadview Heights and Twinsburg are an even 5-5 against one another since January of 2019, but not for long. The Brecksville-Broadview Heights Bees will face off against the Twinsburg Tigers at 12:00 p.m. on Saturday. Brecksville-Broadview Heights is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 55.9 points per game this season.

On Wednesday, Brecksville-Broadview Heights strolled past Nordonia with points to spare, taking the game 59-43. Given the Bees' advantage in MaxPreps' Ohio basketball rankings (they are ranked 36th, while the Knights are ranked 367th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Brecksville-Broadview Heights got their victory on the backs of several key players, but it was Ashley Perdion out in front who went 5 of 7 on her way to 12 points in addition to six boards and three blocks. Perdion has been hot recently, having posted two or more blocks the last four times she's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Jessie Zenir, who dropped a double-double on ten points and 11 rebounds.

Brecksville-Broadview Heights smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 19 offensive rebounds. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now pulled down at least 12 offensive boards in three consecutive contests.

Meanwhile, it was a proper cat-fight when Twinsburg challenged Mentor on Wednesday. Twinsburg took a 50-46 hit to the loss column at the hands of Mentor. The Tigers haven't had much luck with the Cardinals recently, as the team's come up short the last two times they've met.

Twinsburg's defeat dropped their record down to 10-5. As for Brecksville-Broadview Heights, they are on a roll lately: they've won five of their last six games, which provided a nice bump to their 13-3 record this season.

Brecksville-Broadview Heights came up short against Twinsburg in their previous matchup back in December of 2024, falling 64-53. Can Brecksville-Broadview Heights avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
