Basketball Recap: Northglenn Falls Despite Big Games from Emari Wade and Noah Scrivani

Northglenn was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their 11th straight defeat. They lost 66-46 to the Boulder Panthers. While losing is never fun, the Norsemen can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Colorado basketball rankings (they are ranked 217th, while the Panthers are ranked 80th).

Northglenn's loss came despite strong showings from Noah Scrivani and Emari Wade. Scrivani went 5 of 12 to rack up 15 points, while Wade posted 11 points. That's the most points Wade has posted since back in December of 2023. Another player making a difference was Ethan Mayle, who earned nine points.

Cole Morrow was his usual excellent self, going 9 for 18 en route to 24 points and six rebounds for Boulder. Morrow has been hot, having posted 18 or more points the last five times he's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Lake Smith, who scored 18 points and five boards.

Northglenn's loss dropped their record down to 5-13. As for Boulder, they have been performing well recently as they've won four of their last five matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 10-8 record this season.

Northglenn didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next game, a 59-54 victory against Adams City on the 7th. As for Boulder, they have also already played their next contest, a 75-73 win against Mountain Range on the 6th.
