Basketball Recap: Amarillo Comes Up Short

Amarillo has been a dominant force so far, but they're in the middle of a mini-slump at the moment. They lost to the Mansfield Tigers on the road by a 48-32 margin on Thursday. The game marked the Sandies' lowest-scoring contest so far this season.

Amarillo's defeat dropped their record down to 7-2. As for Mansfield, the win (which was their eighth in a row) raised their record to 8-1.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Amarillo will square off against Liberty at 7:30 p.m. on Monday. As for Mansfield, they will face off against Arlington at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
