Recap: Windham Bombers vs. Rootstown Rovers
The Windham Bombers lost against the Rootstown Rovers back in December of 2022, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Monday. Windham was beaten by Rootstown 67-24. Windham has not had much luck with Rootstown recently, as the team's come up short the last six times they've met.
Rootstown got their victory on the backs of several key players, but it was Brooklynn McIntyre out in front who scored six points along with 16 rebounds and three blocks. McIntyre hasn't dropped below two steals for four straight games. The team also got some help courtesy of Nadia Lough, who scored 14 points along with five rebounds and four blocks.
Windham has traveled a rocky road recently having lost three of their last four games, which put a noticeable dent in their 11-10 record this season. As for Rootstown, they pushed their record up to 19-2 with that victory, which was their 11th straight at home dating back to last season.
Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Windham will take on Aquinas at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for Rootstown, they will be playing in front of their home fans against John F. Kennedy Catholic at 6:30 p.m. on Wednesday. John F. Kennedy Catholic is also coming in off of a big victory, so somebody is in for a big reversal of fortune.
