Monroe won the last time they faced Ida and things went their way on Friday too. The Trojans' defense stepped up to hand the Bluestreaks an 8-0 shutout. The result was nothing new for Monroe, who have now won four contests by three goals or more so far this season.

The victory made it two in a row for Monroe and bumps their season record up to 4-2. The wins came thanks in part to their defensive effort, having only given up zero goals over those two matches. As for Ida, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 1-3-1.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Monroe will challenge Dexter at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Ida, they will face off against Hillsdale at 5:30 p.m. on Monday.
