Volleyball Recap: Overland Gets the Win

Overland's tournament run continued when they took on Boulder on Saturday. The Trailblazers had just enough and edged out the Panthers 2-1. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Trailblazers.

Overland had a slow start but a hot finish: after dropping the first set, they turned around to win the next two. The match finished with set scores of 25-27, 25-15, 15-6.

Vincent Johnson paced Overland's offense, picking up eight kills. Johnson got some help from Ethan Do and his 12 assists. Johnson also made an impact serving: he shared the team lead in aces with Jan Khadyka, racking up two apiece.

Overland's win bumped their record up to 13-6. As for Boulder, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 5-10.

Overland has already played their next match, a 2-0 victory against Greeley Central on the 19th. As for Boulder, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next contest, a 2-0 defeat against Mountain View on the 19th.
