Section 8 Conference II recap Oct. 16, 2012
Kennedy moved up to 573 from 617 in the state rankings this week, the biggest jump in Section 8 Conference II. The Cougars were able to make the jump by beating Herricks 27-0.
Garden City extended the longest winning streak in the league this week by beating Long Beach, 20-18. The win marks sixth in a row for the the Trojans.
Wantagh's offense has been unstoppable this season and the Warriors feature the season leaders in passing, rushing and receiving yards. rody roche has thrown for 746 yards and 10 touchdowns this season, while brandon watson has 20 catches for 469 yards. Watson leads the league in rushing with 518 yards.
Garden City and the Marines played the most hotly contested game in Section 8 Conference II this week, with Garden City eventually emerging with a 20-18 victory.
