Soccer Recap: Fernandina Beach Comes Up Short

Fernandina Beach's game on Thursday was all tied up 0-0 at the half, but sadly for them it didn't stay that way. They fell just short of the Harvest Community Warriors by a score of 1-0. The Pirates were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Warriors apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in December of 2018.

Fernandina Beach has been struggling recently as they've lost three of their last four matches, which put a noticeable dent in their 6-5 record this season. As for Harvest Community, the victory (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 3-5.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Fernandina Beach will have a little extra prep time after the defeat as they won't be playing again for a while. They'll take on Providence School at 7:20 p.m. on January 7, 2025. Harvest Community also won't see the pitch for a while: their next game is against Bishop Snyder at 5:30 p.m. on January 6, 2025.
