Softball Game Preview: Notre Dame Prep Fighting Irish vs. Hazel Park Vikings

The Notre Dame Prep Fighting Irish will venture away from home to challenge the Hazel Park Vikings at 4:30 p.m. on Monday. Notre Dame Prep is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 9.9 runs per game this season.

Notre Dame Prep is probably headed into the game with a chip on their shoulder considering Royal Oak just ended the team's three-game winning streak on Thursday. They fell just short of the Ravens by a score of 14-12. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest defeat the Fighting Irish have suffered since March 26th.

Emersyn Rix-Renne led a balanced group of hitters, going 3-for-4 with two runs, one stolen base, and one double. Katherine Healy was another key player, getting on base in three of her five plate appearances with three RBI, two runs, and one stolen base.

Meanwhile, Hazel Park fell victim to Warren Woods-Tower and their airtight pitching crew on Friday.
