Volleyball Recap: Dynamic Duo of Lia Bunch and Ella Reed Lead Wynne to Victory

Wynne won the last time they faced Forrest City and things went their way on Tuesday too. The Yellowjackets blew past the Mustangs 3-0. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Yellowjackets.

Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-6, 25-17, 25-8.

Leading Wynne to victory were Ella Reed and Lia Bunch. Reed had 20 assists and seven aces, while Bunch had nine kills and six aces. That's the most aces Bunch has posted over her last 11 contests. Zoe Scott also deserves some recognition as she had her first kill of the season.

They weren't the only good servers: Wynne was lethal from the service line and finished the match with 22 aces. The team's really been improving in that area: they've now improved their ace total in three consecutive matches.

The win got Wynne back to even at 9-9-1. As for Forrest City, they are on an 11-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-6.

We've got plenty of inter-conference action coming up soon. Wynne will challenge rival Lonoke at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. Meanwhile, Forrest City is set to square off against their familiar foe Hall at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
