Volleyball Recap: Rise Kohyang's Undefeated Season over After 11 Games

After flying high against Stern last Monday, Rise Kohyang came back down to earth. The Tritons fell just short of the Animo Venice Pirates by a score of 3-2 on Tuesday. The matchup marked the Tritons' lowest-scoring game so far this season.

In an exciting match in which no team claimed back-to-back wins, Rise Kohyang sadly wound up on the wrong side. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-18, 23-25, 25-21, 19-25, 15-8.

Having lost for the first time this season, Rise Kohyang fell to 10-1. As for Animo Venice, their win was their 13th straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 15-1.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Rise Kohyang will have a little extra prep time after the loss as they won't be playing again for a while. They'll take on Animo De La Hoya at 4:30 p.m. on the 21st. As for Animo Venice, they will face off against Animo Watts at 4:30 p.m. on Wednesday.
