Basketball Recap: Wapsie Valley Warriors vs. South Hardin Tigers
Wapsie Valley was the 47-34 winner over South Hardin when they last played one another back in January of 2024, but their luck changed this time around. The Wapsie Valley Warriors took a hard 65-46 fall against the South Hardin Tigers on Friday. The Warriors have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.
Alli Sheldahl continued her habit of posting crazy stat lines for South Hardin, going 10 of 18 en route to 22 points in addition to eight rebounds and three blocks. Sheldahl continues to improve, besting her previous point total in each of the last three games she's played. Another player making a difference was Ayda Eller, who went 6 for 11 on her way to 17 points and six boards.
Wapsie Valley's defeat dropped their record down to 9-8. As for South Hardin, their victory ended a four-game drought at home and bumped them up to 7-11.
Wapsie Valley didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 42-28 loss against Jesup on the 4th. As for South Hardin, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next match, a 45-35 win against Dike-New Hartford on the 4th.
