Softball Recap: Tohono O'Odham Comes Up Short

Tohono O'Odham was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their fourth straight loss dating back to last season. They came up short against the Gila Bend Gila Monsters, falling 21-4. If the Eagles were looking for revenge after losing 25-4 to the Gila Monsters when the teams met back in April of 2024, then they'll just have to keep looking.

Tohono O'Odham's defeat dropped their record down to 0-3. As for Gila Bend, they pushed their record up to 2-3 with the win, which was their sixth straight at home dating back to last season.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Tohono O'Odham will get a bit of extra time to process the loss as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on Thunderbird Adventist Academy at 4:00 p.m. on April 1. As for Gila Bend, they will host Berean Academy at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
