Basketball Recap: Tabernacle Finds Home Court Redemption Against Clay County Christian Academy

There's no place like home for Tabernacle, who bounced back after a loss on the road last Monday. They came out on top against the Clay County Christian Academy Eagles by a score of 46-37 on Thursday. This was a revenge game for the Torches: when they faced off against the Eagles back in November of 2024, they had to take a 46-35 loss.

Several Eagles players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Cohen McDonald, who almost dropped a double-double on 11 points and nine boards. Another player making a difference was Bryan Bacak, who posted six points in addition to 11 rebounds and three steals.

The win snapped Tabernacle's losing streak at three games and leaves them with a 10-15 record. As for Clay County Christian Academy, they have been struggling recently as they've lost five of their last six contests, which put a noticeable dent in their 4-9 record this season.

Tabernacle wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next matchup, a 48-39 defeat against Cornerstone Christian on the 31st. Clay County Christian Academy has also already played their next game (against Valley Fellowship Christian Academy), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing.
