Basketball Recap: San Saba Comes Up Short

After flying high against Center Point last Tuesday, San Saba came back down to earth. The San Saba Armadillos took a 36-31 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Junction Eagles. The Armadillos were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Eagles apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in January of 2024.

San Saba's defeat was their first in the district, dropping their district record down to 2-1 and their overall record down to 6-9. As for Junction, they are on a roll lately: they've won five of their last six matches, which provided a nice bump to their 11-5 record this season.

Coincidentally, the two teams will both be playing Harper the next time they take the court. San Saba will head out to face Harper at 7:30 p.m. on Friday, while Junction will head out to face them at 7:30 p.m. on January 14th.
