Volleyball Recap: Summit's Win on Thursday Extends Winning Streak to Four + How To Watch

Summit came tearing into Thursday's matchup with three straight wins , and they left with even more momentum. Everything went their way against the Centennial Cougars as they made off with a 3-0 victory. The Spartans have seen this before: they got the W the last time they saw the Cougars, too.

The final score came out to 25-5, 25-14, 25-20.

Maggie Kalisz paced Summit's offense, picking up nine kills. Kalisz got some help from Amanda Shanahan and her 30 assists. Shanahan also made an impact serving: she shared the team lead in aces with Emery Estep, racking up three apiece.

Summit's win bumped their record up to 10-5. As for Centennial, they are on a 16-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-7.

We've got plenty of inter-district action coming up soon. Summit is set to square off against their familiar foe Independence at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Meanwhile, Centennial will take on rival Page at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
