Volleyball Recap: Wheelersburg Picks Up Sixth Consecutive Victory

Wheelersburg had already won five in a row and they went ahead and made it six on Tuesday. Everything went their way against the North Adams Green Devils as they made off with a 3-0 win. That result was just more of the same for these two, as the Pirates also won the last time the pair played back in October of 2024.

The final score came out to 25-4, 25-14, 25-16.

Wheelersburg was led to victory by Mylee Gleim and Maddy Fannin. Gleim had 20 digs, while Fannin had five aces and two assists. Those five aces gave Fannin a new career-high.

They weren't the only good server: Wheelersburg was lethal from the service line and finished the game with 15 aces. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now served at least five aces in 16 consecutive matches dating back to last season.

Wheelersburg's victory bumped their record up to 6-0. As for North Adams, their loss ended a seven-game streak of away wins dating back to last season and brought them to 4-3.

Looking ahead, Wheelersburg will venture away from home to challenge Gallia Academy at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for North Adams, they will welcome Manchester at 5:30 p.m. on Thursday.
