The Twin Falls Bruins will look to defend their home field on Friday against the Ridgevue Warhawks at 7:00 p.m. Twin Falls' defense has only allowed 14.7 points per game this season, so Ridgevue's offense will have their work cut out for them.
For whatever reason, it's the away team that's had the advantage when Twin Falls and Minico meet (three straight games heading into this one) and that held true again on Friday. The Bruins simply couldn't be stopped as they easily beat the Spartans 54-20. The contest was pretty much decided by the half, when the score had already reached 20-0.

Twin Falls can attribute much of their success to Bryce Nielsen, who picked up 71 receiving yards and three scores, and Jackson Sattelberg, who rushed for 132 yards while picking up 7.8 yards per carry. Those 132 rushing yards gave Sattelberg a new career-high.
They were just one part of a punishing run game: Twin Falls was unstoppable on the ground and finished the game with 219 rushing yards. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now rushed for at least 186 rushing yards in six consecutive games.
Despite a strong season so far, Ridgevue has seen their luck take a bit of a downturn recently. They fell 30-23 to Skyview on Friday. While the Warhawks didn't get the win, they did start the game off strong, beating the Hawks 16-6 in the first quarter.
Twin Falls will need to focus on slowing down Logan Hirasaki, one of several Ridgevue players who made an impact when they last played. He picked up 108 receiving yards and one touchdown. Hirasaki showed off some serious burst, connecting on a big catch for 60 yards.
Ridgevue didn't go easy on the quarterback and picked off two passes before the game was over. The team can thank two different players for their defensive prowess: Dominic Zora and Branson Dance, who each picked up one interception apiece.
Ridgevue's loss dropped their record down to 6-3. As for Twin Falls, their record is now 7-2.
Friday's matchup might be decided on the ground. Twin Falls has been excellent on the ground this season, having averaged 173.3 rushing yards per game. However, it's not like Ridgevue struggles in that department as they've been averaging 155.4 rushing yards. There's a good chance Friday's contest turns into a tough fight on the ground.
Everything went Twin Falls' way against Ridgevue when the teams last played back in September of 2019, as Twin Falls made off with a 28-7 win. Do the Bruins have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Warhawks turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
