Providence Grove is a perfect 4-0 against Central Davidson since April of 2023 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Wednesday. The Providence Grove Patriots will host the Central Davidson Spartans at 6:00 p.m.

Providence Grove managed to slip by Uwharrie Charter Academy the last time these teams faced off, but didn't have those same answers this time around. Providence Grove came up short against Uwharrie Charter Academy on Monday, falling 6-0. That makes it the first time this season the Patriots have let down their home crowd.

Meanwhile, Central Davidson kept a clean sheet against Parkland on Monday. They were the clear victor by a 7-0 margin over the Mustangs. Considering the Spartans have won five matchups by more than four goals this season, Monday's blowout was nothing new.

Their offense was hitting Parkland from everywhere, as five different players booted in a goal. Carrie Street led that balanced group of strikers and accounted for three goals all by herself.

Central Davidson has been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 6-2-1 record this season. Those victories came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they scored 22 goals over those four games. Providence Grove's defeat dropped their record down to 8-2.

Providence Grove was able to grind out a solid win over Central Davidson in their previous matchup last Monday, winning 3-1. Will Providence Grove repeat their success, or does Central Davidson have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
