Baseball Recap: Lewis-Palmer Continues Home Dominance on Tuesday

On Tuesday Lewis-Palmer's undefeated season almost came to an end. They came within a single run of losing the streak, but they secured a 3-2 W against the Douglas County Huskies.

JW Babbitt looked comfortable as he tossed one inning while giving up no earned runs or hits. He has been consistent recently: he hasn't given up more than one earned run any time he's pitched this season.

On the hitting side, Lewis-Palmer saw five different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Hunter Morgan, who went 1-for-2 with one stolen base and one RBI. That RBI marked the first that Morgan brought in this season. Another was Garrett Hennis, who went 2-for-3 with one triple and one run.

Lewis-Palmer's victory was their ninth straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 7-0. Those home wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 8.3 runs over those games. As for Douglas County, they are on a five-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 2-7.

Coming up, Lewis-Palmer will head out to take on Highlands Ranch at 4:00 p.m. on Wednesday. The Rangers are facing the Falcons at the right time seeing as the Falcons are stuck on a three-game losing streak. As for Douglas County, they will get a bit of extra time to process the loss as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on Rocky Mountain at 1:00 p.m. on the 12th.
