Volleyball Recap: Chino Hills Comes Up Short

Chino Hills lost against Etiwanda back in October of 2024, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Tuesday. The Huskies came up short against the Eagles, falling 3-0. The Huskies have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

While Chino Hills was not able to make it on the board, they still kept things close, especially in the third set. The match finished with set scores of 25-20, 25-17, 25-22.

When it comes to explaining why Chino Hills lost, don't look at Yanizza Gutierrez. Despite the final result, she had 22 digs and two aces. Gutierrez is on a roll when it comes to digs, as she's now had 11 or more in each of the last four games she's played.

Etiwanda got their victory on the backs of several key players, but it was Kylie Richardson out in front who had 15 digs and two aces. That's the most digs Richardson has posted over her last 11 games. Another player making a difference was Meaalofa Tauaese, who had ten digs and two aces.

Chino Hills' defeat dropped their record down to 11-11. As for Etiwanda, their win was their fourth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 17-11.
