Mira Costa waltzed into their game on Saturday with seven straight wins... but they left with eight. They were the clear victors by a 9-3 margin over the Newport Harbor Sailors. The Mustangs not only won on Saturday, but they posted their biggest win since March 5th (when they won 7-0).

Mira Costa's record now sits at 13-4. As for Newport Harbor, their defeat dropped their record down to 9-7.

Looking ahead, Mira Costa will venture away from home to take on Wiseburn- Da Vinci at 2:30 p.m. on Wednesday. As for Newport Harbor, they will welcome Garden Grove at 3:30 p.m. on Tuesday. The Argonauts have struggled to contain batters this season (they've allowed 7.31 runs per game on average), something the Sailors will no doubt try to take advantage of.
