Baseball Recap: Dillon Comes Up Short

If Dillon was feeling good fresh off their 15-4 takedown of Darlington last Friday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Dillon Wildcats fell just short of the Georgetown Bulldogs by a score of 9-7 on Tuesday. The Wildcats haven't had much luck with the Bulldogs recently, as the team has come up short the last eight times they've met.

Dillon's defeat dropped their record down to 3-3. As for Georgetown, the victory was the third in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 3-4.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Dillon will square off against Georgetown at 6:30 p.m. on Friday. As for Georgetown, they will challenge Stratford at 6:30 p.m. on Wednesday. The last four games Stratford has played have been within two runs, so don't be surprised if it's a close one.
