Nine must be Lord Botetourt's lucky number: they beat Northside with that score not once but twice on Tuesday. The Cavaliers beat the Vikings by the very same score they won with in their prior game: 9-2. Considering the Cavaliers have won six matchups by more than six runs this season, Tuesday's blowout was nothing new.

The win made it two in a row for Lord Botetourt and bumps their season record up to 8-11. Those victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered a grand total of 4 runs in those games. As for Northside, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost 12 of their last 13 games. That's put a noticeable dent in their 3-19 record this season.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Lord Botetourt will venture away from home to take on Cave Spring at 5:00 p.m. on Wednesday. The Cavaliers will need to watch out since the Knights have now posted at least ten runs in their last four contests. As for Northside, they will square off against William Byrd at 5:30 p.m. on Friday.
