Clovis won the last time they faced Carlsbad and things went their way  on Tuesday too. The Wildcats narrowly escaped with a  win as the  team sidled past the Cavemen/Cavegirls  3-2. The  victory made it back-to-back  wins for the Wildcats.
 If you add up the scores from across all five sets (104-102) Clovis actually scored fewer points, but in the end it didn't matter. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 20-25, 16-25, 25-21, 26-24,  15-9.

Clovis' victory was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was   Sophie Roberts, who  had ten  digs, seven  kills, seven  aces,  and one  block. That's the most  aces  Roberts has posted since back in September.  Brynn Petner was another key player,  getting 11  kills, six  digs,  and four  aces.
 They weren't the only good servers: Clovis  was lethal from the service line and  finished the match with 22  aces. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now  served at least seven  aces in four consecutive  matchups.
The  win  got Clovis back to even at 10-10. As for Carlsbad, they dropped their record down to 5-15 with the  defeat, which was their seventh straight  on the road.
 Clovis didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next  match,  a  3-0  victory against Hobbs on the 30th. As for Carlsbad, they have also already played their next contest,  a  3-2  win against Roswell on the 30th.
