Volleyball Recap: Sultana Has No Trouble Against Silverado

Sultana not only won on Tuesday, but they posted their biggest win since October 26, 2024 (when they won 3-0). They put the hurt on the Silverado Hawks with a sharp 3-0 victory. The Sultans have seen this before: they got the W the last time they saw the Hawks, too.

Sultana not only won, but also showed off some consistency: they kept Silverado between 14 and 17 points across their sets. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-17, 25-14, 25-14.

Ella Cain was the offensive standout of the contest as she had five aces and four assists. Those five aces gave her a new career-high. Hailee Manning also deserves some recognition as she served her first ace of the season.

Sultana's win bumped their record up to 5-2. As for Silverado, they are on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-4.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Sultana will venture away from home to take on Barstow at 5:30 p.m. on Thursday. As for Silverado, they are packing up and heading out for their first away game of the season: they will challenge Serrano at 5:15 p.m. on Monday.
