Basketball Game Preview: Fall Creek Crickets vs. Arcadia Raiders

The Fall Creek Crickets and the Arcadia Raiders will round out the year against one another at at 7:15 p.m. on Friday. Both are sauntering into the matchup backed by comfortable wins in their prior games.

Last Friday, Fall Creek made easy work of Bloomer and carried off a 66-40 victory. The Crickets have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won three games by 26 points or more this season.

Meanwhile, winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Arcadia). They took their matchup on Friday with ease, bagging a 67-14 win over Gale-Ettrick-Trempealeau. Given the Raiders' advantage in MaxPreps' Wisconsin basketball rankings (they are ranked 178th, while the Red Hawks are ranked 436th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Arcadia pushed their record up to 6-3 with the victory, which was their third straight on the road. Those victories came thanks to their defensive effort, having only surrendered 27.7 points per game. As for Fall Creek, their win bumped their record up to 5-3.

Fall Creek strolled past Arcadia in their previous matchup back in December of 2023 by a score of 49-30. Will Fall Creek repeat their success, or does Arcadia have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
