It was a good run, but Hazlehurst unfortunately witnessed the end of their three-game winning streak on Thursday. The match between them and the Magee Trojans didn't end well, with the Hazlehurst Indians falling 60-41. The Indians were not able to repeat the success they had when they faced the Trojans earlier this season, when they won 57-48.

Hazlehurst's defeat came despite a true team effort from the offense, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Jakavion Johnson, who posted 15 points. That was a full 36.6% of Hazlehurst's points, marking the third time in a row he's scored more than a third of the team's points. Trae'Kerrion Collins was another key player, putting up 11 points.

Hazlehurst's loss dropped their record down to 12-14. As for Magee, they are on a roll lately: they've won 13 of their last 15 games, which provided a nice bump to their 17-3 record this season.

Hazlehurst and Jefferson Davis County will face off at 5:30 p.m. on Friday without much rest having both just played. Magee does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
