Baseball Game Preview: Louis E. Dieruff Huskies vs. William Allen Canaries

The Louis E. Dieruff Huskies will face off against the William Allen Canaries at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The two teams have had a bumpy ride up to this point with ten consecutive losses dating back to last season for Louis E. Dieruff and six for William Allen.

Louis E. Dieruff came into this matchup off a tough ten-run defeat on Wednesday. This time they kept things ultra-competitive, but unfortunately the final result was the same. They fell just short of East Stroudsburg South by a score of 4-2 on Friday. Give some credit to the fans of both teams: the last four times they've met, the home team has come away the winner.

Frawvely Peralta was huge no matter where he played even without the win. He looked comfortable on the mound, tossing four innings while giving up just one earned run off five hits. Peralta was also solid in the batter's box, scoring a run while going 2-for-3.

Peralta wasn't the only one making solid contact as two players wound up with at least one hit. One of them was Bryan Dejesus, who scored a run while going 1-for-2. Gustavo Cepin also deserves some recognition as he got his first hit of the season.

Meanwhile, William Allen came up short against Pocono Mountain East on Friday and fell 9-4.

Erick Lopez made the most of his time at bat despite the final result and scored a run and stole a base while going 2-for-3. Diogenes Rosario was another key player, going 2-for-4 with three RBI.

Louis E. Dieruff's record is now 0-5. As for William Allen, their record now sits at 0-6.
