Baseball Recap: Northridge Academy Takes a Loss

Friday just wasn't the day for Northridge Academy's offense. They lost 20-0 to the Sherman Oaks CES Knights on Friday. The Pumas were not able to make up for their loss to the Knights from their previous meeting back in May of 2024.

Christian Romero was cooking despite his team's loss, getting on base in both of his plate appearances with three stolen bases. He has been hot recently, having posted at least one stolen base the last four times he's played.

This is the second loss in a row for Northridge Academy and nudges their season record down to 1-5. As for Sherman Oaks CES, the victory was the third in a row for them, bringing their record up to 4-1.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Northridge Academy will head out to challenge East Valley at 2:30 p.m. on Friday. As for Sherman Oaks CES, they will venture away from home to face off against Fulton at 2:30 p.m. on Monday. Fulton has struggled to contain batters this season (they've allowed eight runs per game on average), something Sherman Oaks CES will no doubt try to take advantage of.
