The Red Mountain Mountain Lions will be playing at home against the Corona del Sol Aztecs at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Red Mountain has been getting the ball to fall more lately as they've increased their point totals each of their last three games.
Combs typically have all the answers at home, but on Thursday Red Mountain proved too difficult a challenge. Red Mountain was the clear victor by a 79-59 margin over Combs. Having run the score up that high, both teams might be doing some extra defensive drills very soon.
Red Mountain's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Conor Doka led the charge by scoring 16 points along with 8 rebounds. The team also got some help courtesy of Gage Lindsey, who scored 16 points along with 7 rebounds.
Meanwhile, Corona del Sol pushed their score all the way to 68 last Friday, but even that wasn't enough to win. They were just a bucket shy of victory and fell 69-68 to Gilbert.
Their wins bumped Red Mountain to 3-2 and Combs to 5-1.
