Baseball Game Preview: Alburnett Pirates vs. Jesup J-Hawks

The Alburnett Pirates will head out to square off against the Jesup J-Hawks at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Alburnett's pitching crew has only allowed 4.1 runs per game this season, so Jesup's hitters will have their work cut out for them.

Alburnett is probably headed into the match with a chip on their shoulder considering Starmont just ended the team's four-game winning streak on Tuesday. They fell just short of the Stars by a score of 6-5.

Meanwhile, Jesup lost 16-3 to Don Bosco on Tuesday. The J-Hawks haven't had much luck with the Dons recently, as the team has come up short the last three times they've met.

Jesup's defeat dropped their record down to 7-18. As for Alburnett, their loss dropped their record down to 16-11.

Alburnett came out on top in a nail-biter against Jesup in their previous meeting back in July of 2024, sneaking past 4-3. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Pirates since the team won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
