It may have taken nine innings to finish the job, but Duncan ultimately got the result they hoped for on Tuesday. They won by a run and slipped past the Elgin Owls 2-1. The win was nothing new for the Demons as they're now sitting on ten straight.

Duncan pushed their record up to 29-5 with the victory, which was their ninth straight at home. The home wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 1.6 runs on average over those games. As for Elgin, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 23-6.

Looking ahead, Duncan will venture away from home to take on Memorial at 5:30 p.m. on Thursday. As for Elgin, they will take on Carl Albert at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday. The Owls' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Titans have averaged an impressive 9.1 runs per game this season.
