Basketball Recap: Pike Valley Takes a Loss

Pike Valley was the 67-44 winner over Tescott when they last played one another back in January of 2024, but their luck changed this time around. The Pike Valley Panthers fell to the Tescott Trojans 54-49. The Panthers have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Despite the loss, Pike Valley still got an impressive performance from Andrew Cooper, who went 9 of 17 en route to 27 points and seven rebounds. Cooper's afternoon made it three games in a row in which he has scored at least ten points. Another player making a difference was Braxton Patterson, who posted eight points and seven boards.

Pike Valley's defeat dropped their record down to 3-6. As for Tescott, they are on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four games, which provided a nice bump to their 5-3-1 record this season.

Pike Valley will get a bit of extra time to process the loss as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on Thunder Ridge at 7:00 p.m. on January 28th. As for Tescott, they will challenge Lincoln on Tuesday.
