Volleyball Recap: Sunnyslope Takes Down Ranked Deer Valley

Sunnyslope faced Deer Valley in a battle between two of the state's top teams on Friday. The Vikings came out on top against the Skyhawks by a score of 2-0. While the Vikings didn't have the best season last year (they finished 8-15), it's starting to look like those struggles are a thing of the past.

Sunnyslope has been performing well recently as they've won four of their last five games. That's provided a nice bump to their 6-2 record this season. As for Deer Valley, the loss snapped their winning streak at four games and leaves them with a 13-6 record.

Sunnyslope has already played their next match, a 2-0 win against Sunrise Mountain on the 4th. As for Deer Valley, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next contest, a 2-0 victory against Greenway on the 4th.
