The Taft Eagles will venture away from home to  take on the Maine East Blue Demons  at 4:30  p.m.  on Tuesday. Taft is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 13  runs per game  this season.
Taft will roll into the  contest after a wild two-game stretch: they only put up two  runs  last Monday, then bounced right back against Solorio  on Monday. Taft blew past Solorio 15-0. The result was nothing new for the Eagles, who have now won three games by 14  runs or more  so far this season.
 Tom Gentile looked comfortable as he  tossed two innings while giving up   no  earned runs off   one  hit. What's more,  he posted three  strikeouts, the most he's  had since back in April of 2024.

 On the hitting side, Taft got a  massive  performance out of  Evan Jocic, who  scored three  runs and  stole three bases while  getting on base  in two of his three plate appearances. That's the most  runs  Jocic has posted since back in April of 2024.  Israel Rodriguez was another key player,  going 1-for-3 with four  RBI, one  stolen base,  and one  run.
 Taft  always had someone on base and  finished the game having  posted an OBP of .679. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Solorio only posted  an  OBP of  .250.
Meanwhile, Maine East can  bid farewell to their four-game losing streak thanks to their game  on Monday. They came out on top against Northridge by a score of  7-3.
  Kam'Ryn Thompson was  excellent,  scoring two  runs while going 2-for-3. He also  hit a  double, marking his first of the season. Another player making a difference was  Andrew Merza, who  got on base  in all four of his plate appearances with one  stolen base and one  RBI.
 Taft's record is now 3-1. As for Maine East, their record is now 2-4.
 Everything went Taft's way against Maine East when the teams last played  back in March of 2024, as Taft made off with  a  12-2 victory. Will Taft repeat their success,  or does  Maine East has a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
