Baseball Recap: Vallivue's Win on Tuesday Extends Winning Streak to Three

Vallivue took a ten-run defeat the last time they faced off against Bishop Kelly, but this time they managed to keep it close and that made all the difference. The Falcons had just enough and edged out the Knights 3-2. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest victory the Falcons have posted against the Knights since April 27, 2021.

Isaac Farrel tossed a big game, pitching 6.2 innings while giving up just one earned (and one unearned) run off nine hits. What's more, he posted three strikeouts, the most he's had over his last four games.

The win was the third in a row for Vallivue, bringing their record up to 16-1. Those victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 3.0 runs on average over those games. As for Bishop Kelly, with the loss, they broke their seven-game winning streak and moved their record to 8-8.

Coincidentally, Vallivue and Bishop Kelly will both be playing Emmett the next time they take the field. The Knights will head out to face the Huskies at 4:00 p.m. on Wednesday, while the Falcons will host them at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday.
