Softball Recap: Foothill Starts Season with Defeat on the Road

Foothill had to start their season on the road on Tuesday, and it wasn't the start they were hoping for. They took a 9-6 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Delano Tigers. The Trojans were not able to make up for their defeat to the Tigers from their previous meeting back in March of 2024.

Foothill saw six different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Jassive Chavez, who went 1-for-4 with one home run.

Delano's first victory this season bumped their record up to 1-1-1.

Coming up, Foothill will look to take advantage of their home field for the first time this season as they take on Ridgeview at 3:30 p.m. on Thursday. As for Delano, they will face off against East Bakersfield at 3:30 p.m. on Wednesday.
