Basketball Game Preview: DeSales Irish vs. Sunnyside Christian Knights

DeSales and Sunnyside Christian are an even 5-5 against one another since May of 2021, but not for long. Both will face off at 5:30 p.m. on Saturday without much rest having both just played. Both squads will be entering this one on the heels of a big victory.

DeSales is headed in fresh off scoring the most points they have all season. They simply couldn't be stopped on Friday as they easily beat Riverside Christian 85-45. Winning may never get old, but the Irish sure are getting used to it with their third in a row.

Meanwhile, Sunnyside Christian entered their tilt with Prescott on Friday with two consecutive wins but they'll enter their next game with three. They took their contest with ease, bagging a 72-11 victory over the Tigers. The matchup marked the Knights' most dominant win of the season so far.

Sunnyside Christian's victory was their fourth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 5-3. The wins came thanks to their defensive effort, having only surrendered 28.5 points per game. As for DeSales, their win bumped their record up to 5-1.

DeSales won a game that couldn't have been any closer when the teams last played back in January, slipping by Sunnyside Christian 56-55. Will DeSales repeat their success, or does Sunnyside Christian have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
