Baseball Recap: Shelley Comes Up Short

Shelley was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their tenth straight defeat. They fell 5-1 to the Jerome Tigers.

Shelley saw seven different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Alex Beck, who went 1-for-4 with one double and one RBI.

Shelley's loss dropped their record down to 2-11. As for Jerome, with the win, they broke their three-game losing streak and moved their record to 8-12.

Looking ahead, Shelley will challenge Blackfoot at 3:30 p.m. on Thursday. The Russets' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Broncos have averaged an impressive 9.7 runs per game this season. As for Jerome, they will square off against Twin Falls at 3:00 p.m. on Friday.
