Baseball Game Preview: Alta Loma Braves vs. South Hills Huskies

Alta Loma hasn't had much luck against South Hills recently, but that could start to change on Wednesday. The Braves will be playing at home against the Huskies at 3:30 p.m.

Alta Loma fell victim to South Hills and their airtight pitching crew on Monday. They took a 4-0 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Huskies. The Braves have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

For South Hills' part, Elias Reyes tossed a big game, not allowing a single earned run and allowing only two hits over five innings pitched. Reyes has been nothing but reliable on the mound: he hasn't given up more than two hits in five consecutive appearances.

On the hitting side, South Hills' win was truly a team effort as six different players contributed at least one hit. One of them was Robert Brown, who went a perfect 2-for-2 with one stolen base and one run. Those two hits gave Brown a new career-high.

South Hills was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .381. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Alta Loma only posted a batting average of .136.

South Hills moved to 20-7 with that loss, which also ended their ten-game winning streak. As for Alta Loma, their defeat dropped their record down to 8-18.
