Football Recap: Six Straight Road Victories for Cedar Grove + How To Watch

Cedar Grove had already proven themselves in the regular season and they didn't miss a beat now that it's playoff time. They were the clear victors by a 37-13 margin over the New Providence Pioneers on Friday. The Panthers might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won four matchups by 24 points or more this season.

Cedar Grove's win was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Thomas Cannataro, who rushed for 91 yards and a pair of touchdowns on only 11 carries, and also caught one score. Cannataro didn't just play on offense: he also forced one fumble and made seven total tackles. Another passer making a difference was Pierce Asfalg, who gained 299 total yards and a touchdown.

Cedar Grove's defense stepped up as well, laying out the QB four times. Leading the way was Evan Skabich with two sacks.

Cedar Grove pushed their record up to 9-3 with the victory, which was their sixth straight on the road. Those road wins came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 35.5 points over those games. As for New Providence, their defeat was their first of the season and makes their record 12-1.

As of now, neither Cedar Grove nor the Pioneers have any future games scheduled.
