 Addison Trail was not able to break out of their rough patch  on Friday as the team picked up their fourth straight  defeat. They took  a  6-1 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Downers Grove North Trojans. Addison Trail was given a dose of their own medicine in this game as Downers Grove North apparently hadn't forgotten their  loss the last time these teams played  back in April of 2023.
 Addison Trail saw five different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was  Matt Garcia, who  went 1-for-2 with a  double.
 On Downers Grove North's side,  Carter Cosenza looked comfortable as he  tossed two innings while giving up   no  earned runs off   two  hits.
 At the plate, Downers Grove North let  Colin Santos and  Carlos Sanchez loose on the outfield. Santos  scored a  run and  stole a base while  getting on base  in all three of his plate appearances, while  Sanchez  scored a  run and  stole a base while going 2-for-2. The team also got some help courtesy of  Brady Schallmoser, who  scored a  run and  stole a base while going 1-for-3.
 Addison Trail's defeat dropped their record down to 14-10. As for Downers Grove North, their victory bumped their record up to 21-5.
 Both  teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Addison Trail will  face off against Leyden at 4:30  p.m.  on Monday. As for Downers Grove North, they will head out on the road to  take on  Lyons at 4:30  p.m.  on Monday. The two teams have allowed few  runs on average, (Downers Grove North: 3.2, Lyons: 3.1) so any  runs scored will be well earned.
