Soccer Recap: Evergreen Valley Takes a Loss

Evergreen Valley managed to keep up with Piedmont Hills until halftime on Monday, but things quickly went downhill from there. The Evergreen Valley Cougars might have been a little too into the holiday spirit, gifting the Piedmont Hills Pirates an easy 3-0 win. The Cougars were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Pirates apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in February of 2020.

Evergreen Valley now has a losing record at 1-2-1. As for Piedmont Hills, the victory (which was their fourth in a row) raised their record to 4-1-2.

Evergreen Valley and Silver Creek will compete for holiday cheer at 6:30 p.m. on Friday. Silver Creek's last three contests have been decided by no more than a goal, so don't be surprised if it's a close one. Piedmont Hills will take on San Jose in a holiday battle at at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday. San Jose's last three games have been decided by no more than a goal, so don't be surprised if it's a close one.
