Basketball Recap: Apalachee Comes Up Short

Apalachee was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their third straight defeat. They were four points away from ending the streak, but they lost a 60-56 heartbreaker at the hands of the Alcovy Tigers. The Wildcats lost against the Tigers in their previous head to head back in December of 2018, too, but the margin this time around was much closer than the 76-48 score last time.

Apalachee's loss dropped their record down to 11-8. As for Alcovy, they are on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four contests, which provided a nice bump to their 12-6 record this season.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. A feisty cat fight will be fought when the Apalachee Wildcats face off against the Jackson County Panthers at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. As for Alcovy, they will look to defend their home court on Friday against Clarke Central at 7:30 p.m.
