Soccer Game Preview: Summit vs. Kaiser

The Summit SkyHawks are taking a road trip to challenge the Kaiser Cats at 5:45 p.m. on Thursday. Neither squad made it on the board the last time they hit the pitch, so they've probably got a bit of extra motivation.

Summit proved they can win big last Tuesday (they won by three) and on Tuesday they proved they can win the close ones too. They skirted past Grand Terrace 1-0. Winning may never get old, but Summit sure are getting used to it with their third in a row.

Meanwhile, Kaiser fell victim to Carter and their airtight defense on Tuesday. They opened the new year with a less-than-successful 2-0 loss to the Lions. Kaiser have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back matches.

Summit's win bumped their record up to 7-4. As for Kaiser, their defeat dropped their record down to 2-9-1.

Summit got the 'W' in their previous meeting back in December of 2025 against Kaiser by a conclusive 5-1 score. The rematch might be a little tougher for the SkyHawks since the team won't have the home-pitch advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
