Goldthwaite entered their tilt with Johnson City on Friday with three consecutive wins but they'll enter their next game with four. They blew past the Johnson City Eagles 76-51. Goldthwaite has made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won 12 matchups by 21 points or more this season.

Despite the defeat, Johnson City saw an underclassman step up: sophomore Collin Corpus went 5 for 8 on his way to 15 points. Jadyn Jenkins was another key player, putting up 12 points.

Goldthwaite pushed their record up to 13-6 with the win, which was their 12th straight at home dating back to last season. As for Johnson City, they are on a five-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 8-10.

Coincidentally, both will both be playing Center Point the next time they take the court. Goldthwaite will host Center Point at 8:00 p.m. on Tuesday, while Johnson City will head out to face them at 7:30 p.m. on Friday.
