Basketball Recap: Stone Takes a Loss

Stone was not able to break out of their rough patch on Saturday as the team picked up their third straight defeat. They fell 43-33 to the East Central Hornets. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Tomcats of the 28-24 loss they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in February of 2024.

Stone's defeat dropped their record down to 8-11. As for East Central, their win ended a four-game drought at home and bumped them up to 4-7.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Stone will take on Laurel at 6:00 a.m. on Monday. Laurel will roll in looking for their 19th straight victory, something Stone surely won't give up without a fight. East Central has already played their next contest (against Vancleave), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing.
