Baseball Recap: Jefferson Comes Up Short

After flying high against West Adams last Friday, Jefferson came back down to earth. The Democrats fell 7-2 to the Fairfax Lions on Wednesday.

Jefferson's defeat dropped their record down to 7-3. As for Fairfax, their win ended a seven-game drought at home and bumped them up to 3-12.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Jefferson will have a little extra prep time after the loss as they won't be playing again for a while. They'll take on Santee at 3:45 p.m. on the 23rd. As for Fairfax, they will head out to challenge Palisades at 2:00 p.m. on Thursday. The Dolphins will roll in looking for their fifth straight victory, something the Lions surely won't give up without a fight.
